“I owe them everything I am today, without them I would not be in this position. I recommend FVI because this school is very professional and very knowledgeable, the professors are excellent and they put a lot of effort to teach you and help you understand the importance of patient care. They deliver great passion to the profession and the importance of ethics in our field. They were very helpful from the beginning with employability workshops, how to search for new job opportunities and how to dress for an interview. They forwarded my resume to Ponce Plaza Nursing and Rehab Center who called me for an interview. I am now employed in the healthcare field. Thank you FVI!.

“I was a college student at Miami Dade College before starting at Florida Vocational Institute. Since high school, I went to allied health classes. My passion is continuing my education in the Medical field. I chose FVI because I saw an opportunity of moving forward in the medical field. In college, I was taking too long to get a title.  I am working now as the Direct Supportive Apprentice for Miami Cerebral Palsy Residential Services. Career services helped me through the application process and through the interviews. She forwarded my resume to the Talent Manager at MCPRS. He gave me a phone interview and a one-on-one interview. was very happy with the organization. I would give FVI five stars for helping me get what I always
    wanted to achieve .”

    Alain Tavares Web Dev Graduate

“I have extensive Military training which counted towards college credits, I am also one class away from my associates in mass communications. I have always been fascinated with computers, I also love building things and seeing things come together, so naturally, when I was introduced to web development I was all in. The team at Techlaunch has always assisted me with all my career needs, they helped me perfect my resume and continue to always send me referrals to jobs I may be a good fit for. Everything from the application to the graduation exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t just be recommending a school, I’d be doing them a life favor.”

    Aliuska Barbier Testimonial

“I did the Medical Assistant Program before, but what I really like was the pharmacy field. I chose FVI because I heard from another student that it was a good school, and it also offered the program I needed: Pharmacy Technician. My current position is Pharmacy Technician at CVS. I got hired at the same place I completed my externship hours. The instructors gave me the knowledge needed for this field. I recommend this school 100%. FVI has excellent teachers & great staff that are always there to help. Career services is always supporting you with resume building and interview preparation. I am very thankful for all her help during this process because, without her, I wouldn’t be working in this pharmacy.”

Teresa Lorenzo - Home Health Aide

“ I am currently working as a Home Health Aide for two private patients. If it was not for the career services department I would not have this job today. They prepared me for an interview, taught me how to build a resume and how to search for work using the different tools that the internet provides. They called me and referred me to different companies and patients so I could succeed in the final step of my career journey. The school and the instructors were a key factor preparing me for my actual position. They taught me everything related to medical terminology, anatomy, HIPAA and OSHA regulations and all the techniques of how to assist and take care of patients. They are excellent in all aspects. Thanks to their efforts and commitment I am currently practicing in my new career. I recommend FVI to others because the school will do the same work they did with me which I am very grateful for. The school is excellent. I will always recommend them.”

    Teresa Lorenzo, Home Health Aide

“I’m grateful to FVI and all professors like Victor Moreno and Randy Ferrer for providing me with skills and abilities that helped open the doors to a world full of new opportunities. Coding literally changed my life and has become a powerful tool to grow and improve my life in several aspects. Excellence, knowledge, respect, dedication are the things you’ll find every step of the learning process.”

Frank Veloz, Web Developer at Tango Mango

“When I arrived at the school the first day, I came with many ideas in my head. I had heard many opinions from different people, some positives, and many negatives, not about the school, but about the programs. One of my friends was telling me: you are Crazy when you graduate you are not going to get a job, you will have a huge debt, and all their promises are just to steal your money. Ignoring these negative opinions, I continued my journey without looking back. I just wanted to follow my dream. I wanted a better future, I wanted a better job in an area of my interest. Step by step I was getting to know the staff of the school, and I understood the high academic level of the professors, they are all very knowledgeable and dedicated, and they put a lot of time preparing their classes. In the first two months, I was convinced that I did not make a mistake and that I was in the right place to achieve my goal. Each class and each subject called my attention more and more and allowed me to learn everything I needed. When the months passed and I realized that my time in school expired I felt very sad because I did not want to leave. The school helped me to accommodate my externship hours around my busy schedule. Today, for more than a month, I am working as a Medical Assistant in a doctor office, in which I performed EKG, Phlebotomy, Data entry, Vital signs etc. It is a great opportunity to put into practice the good knowledge I acquired in School and they are happy with my work telling me that I am a good worker.”

My doctor is satisfied with my work and my patients respect and trust me.

    Yanet Gonzalez – Medical Assistant

“When I started school I didn’t have the slightest idea of how much I would learn, I started the course without knowing anything about healthcare and the care that it requires. I did not want to know anything about being in hospitals, but at the time was passing, I became very passionate about what I was learning. I had some excellent teachers who shared with me and my colleagues their knowledge and encouraged us to learn. It was difficult for me since I had no experience in the subjects I was studying, but I learned from my colleagues, they told me not to be afraid and they let me know that it is never too late to learn something new …

I worked hard every month, and I made many sacrifices. My family was there to support me and of course God, who guided me on the right path. I feel very proud of myself, and pleased with the staff of the school that always was optimistic about our future.

Now I work for Miami Cerebral Palsy as direct support apprentice (DSA) applying what I learned, and I feel very happy.  It was not easy but not impossible, the road is long but my interest in moving forward still stands.”

Tatiana Torres – Patient Care Technician
